Why Authors Choose Me

I do not guess. I analyze.

While most book marketers apply the same generic playbook to every author, I start with your book's actual data. Every recommendation I make is based on observable market signals specific to your book.

๐Ÿ“Š

Data-Driven Analysis

Every recommendation I make is based on observable market signals specific to your book. BSR trajectories, category placement, keyword alignment, review patterns, also-bought health. Real data, not hunches.

Sound Familiar?

Most authors do not have a quality problem.
They have a visibility problem.

Your book might be beautifully written, professionally edited, and loved by every reader who finds it. But if Amazon's algorithm does not know who to show it to, none of that matters. The discovery gap is the space between where your book is positioned and where your ideal readers are actually looking.

My Story

I did not set out to become a book marketing specialist.

Like many people in this industry, I stumbled into it by noticing patterns that others seemed to miss. It started with a simple question I could not stop thinking about. Why do some books with excellent reviews and passionate readers stay completely invisible, while others with seemingly weaker content gain momentum and find their audience?

I became obsessed with understanding the difference. I started analyzing book after book, category after category, author after author. I looked at BSR patterns, category placements, keyword strategies, review velocities, also-bought carousels, pricing structures, blurb constructions, cover signals. Every data point I could observe.

Gradually, a pattern emerged. The difference between visible books and invisible books almost never came down to writing quality. It almost never came down to marketing budget. It came down to positioning. The visible books were positioned where their natural readers could find them. The invisible books were placed in the wrong categories, targeting the wrong keywords, signaling the wrong genre expectations.

Over the past decade, I have worked with more than 200 authors across every major genre. I have analyzed thousands of books. I have tracked the results of hundreds of positioning changes. And through all of that, I have developed a methodology that consistently produces results because it is based on observable data and testable strategy, not guesswork.

My Philosophy

I do not guess. I analyze.

Every recommendation I make is based on observable data from your book in your market. Not templates. Not hunches. Not what worked for some other author in some other genre. The actual signals your book is sending right now, and what they mean.

Most book marketing advice focuses on promotion. Getting the word out, building buzz, creating noise, being seen. But promotion without positioning is like turning up the volume on static. You are spending energy and money broadcasting a signal, but you are not reaching the people who actually want to hear your message.

Fix the architecture first. The readers follow.

I also believe that authors should not have to become full-time marketers to succeed. You should be able to understand the fundamentals of positioning, implement the right strategies, build sustainable visibility infrastructure, and then get back to writing. Marketing should support your creative work, not consume it.

My Commitments

Promises I make to every author.

Honest Assessment

I will never tell you what you want to hear. I will tell you what I actually see in the data, even if it is not what you were hoping for. Honest diagnosis is the foundation of effective strategy.

Your book should not be invisible.

Send me your book link. I will analyze your data before we even speak and reply with honest initial observations about what I see. No cost. No obligation. No pressure.

What you see here are the most common services I deliver. They are not a fixed menu. Every author I work with receives a strategy built specifically around their book's actual situation. Amazon and Metadata Optimization

Categories ยท Keywords ยท Algorithm ยท Listing

This is the foundation of everything. Before any promotional effort can work, before any algorithmic momentum can build, the structural foundation of your Amazon listing must be correct. Most authors have never properly optimized their metadata. Category selection, keyword architecture, listing structure, series metadata, A+ Content strategy. These are the invisible levers that determine whether Amazon surfaces your book to readers or buries it.

Amazon has over 16,000 book categories. You can only be in 3 at a time. Being in the wrong categories means being invisible to the readers who would love your book. Being in the right categories means appearing exactly where your natural readers browse. A single category change can produce dramatic visibility improvements. Pair that with a keyword architecture built around what readers actually search for, and the effect compounds.

Category Repositioning

Full audit of Amazon's category tree, identification of better-fit subcategories, competition assessment, and formal KDP category change requests with follow-up.

Keyword Architecture

Deep research into what your readers actually search for, prioritized keyword lists built around real search behavior, and complete backend implementation.

Description Optimization

Book description rewritten using proven conversion structure. A hook that stops the scroll, emotional momentum through the body, and a close that drives purchase.

A+ Content Strategy

Enhanced listing content that places your book visually alongside comparison titles your readers already love, increasing trust and conversion rate.

Series Metadata Correction

Series designation, cross-linking, and architecture that signals to Amazon and to readers that this is a continuing world worth entering.

Also-Bought Analysis

Assessment of your recommendation carousel to identify drift from your natural audience and strategies to realign the algorithm's reader associations.

๐Ÿ“š

Book Club and Library Pipeline

Placement ยท Outreach ยท Reading Guides ยท Libraries

Book clubs and libraries create sustained word-of-mouth that no advertising can replicate. A single book club selection can generate dozens of sales, reviews, and recommendations that ripple outward for months. Library placement puts your book in front of readers who might never discover you on Amazon. These channels are underutilized by most authors because they require genuine research and personalized outreach.

I identify the specific book clubs, both online and local, that match your genre and book. I build outreach strategies that get responses. I develop professional reading guides that make your book attractive to facilitators and create meaningful discussion. I handle the library placement strategy including OverDrive, Hoopla, and direct librarian outreach.

Club Identification

Research into book clubs that match your genre and audience, with contact information, selection criteria, and outreach scheduling.

Outreach Strategy

Personalized pitch templates, outreach sequences, and follow-up protocols written specifically for your book and its strongest selling points.

Reading Guides

Professional discussion questions and reading guides that make your book attractive to clubs and facilitate the kind of conversation that creates passionate advocates.

Library Placement

Strategy for library catalog inclusion, OverDrive and Hoopla placement, and librarian network engagement that drives sustained institutional interest.

๐ŸŒ

Litopia Placement Strategy

Community ยท Visibility ยท Authority ยท Positioning

Litopia is one of the most underutilized visibility channels for independent authors. The platform has a genuine, engaged community of readers and writers who are actively seeking quality work. Strategic positioning and placement within this ecosystem can generate meaningful organic discovery and establish your authority as a serious author.

I handle the full strategy from community positioning to submission guidance to profile optimization. The goal is not just placement but genuine engagement that builds your reputation within a community that values quality work and supports authors who take their craft seriously.

Community Positioning

Strategic approach to establishing your presence within Litopia's community in a way that feels authentic and generates genuine interest in your work.

Submission Strategy

Guidance on how to present your book for maximum impact, including pitch framing, timing, and follow-up that increases acceptance probability.

Profile Optimization

Your author profile and presence within the platform optimized to establish authority and attract the right kind of reader attention.

Authority Building

Long-term engagement strategy that positions you as a credible, serious author within the community rather than a one-time promotional appearance.

โ–ถ๏ธ

YouTube Discoverability Optimization

SEO ยท Channel Strategy ยท BookTube ยท Reach

YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world. Readers go there to find book recommendations, author interviews, and reading community content. Author discoverability on YouTube is a vastly underused channel that can drive sustained organic traffic to your books for years after a single piece of well-optimized content is published.

I handle the full channel strategy from structural setup to video SEO to BookTube community outreach. Whether you are starting from zero or have an existing channel that is not performing, I identify the specific optimization changes that will make your content discoverable to readers who are actively looking for books like yours.

Channel Structure

Channel setup, branding, and structural organization that signals to YouTube's algorithm what your content is about and who it is for.

Video SEO Strategy

Keyword research and optimization for video titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails that maximize discoverability in both YouTube and Google search.

Book Trailer Optimization

If you have a book trailer, I optimize it for maximum discoverability. If you do not, I provide strategy for creating one that works.

BookTube Outreach

Identification of and outreach to BookTube creators whose audiences overlap with your natural readership, with pitch framing built around your strongest hooks.

๐Ÿ“˜

Facebook Optimization and Advertising

Page ยท Ads ยท Community ยท Events

Facebook remains one of the most powerful platforms for book marketing when used correctly. Most authors either ignore it entirely or use it incorrectly, posting to an audience of friends and family who are not their readers. The power of Facebook for authors lies in community identification, targeted advertising, and author page optimization that signals professionalism to the readers who do find you.

I handle complete Facebook page optimization to ensure that anyone who finds your page immediately understands who you are, what you write, and why they should care. I build targeted advertising strategy for launches, events, and promotional windows. I identify the specific Facebook groups where your readers already gather and develop engagement strategies that feel authentic rather than promotional.

Page Optimization

Complete audit and overhaul of your Facebook author page including bio, cover image strategy, pinned post, and call-to-action optimization.

Targeted Advertising

Ad strategy for launches and promotional windows including audience targeting, creative direction, budget allocation, and performance benchmarks.

Community Identification

Research into the specific Facebook groups where your readers gather, with engagement strategies that build genuine presence rather than spam appearance.

Event Promotion

Targeted ad coordination for book signing events, virtual launches, and online appearances that reaches the right local and genre-specific audiences.

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Social Media Management and Strategy

Strategy ยท Content ยท Growth ยท Analytics

Consistent, strategic social media presence builds your author brand and drives readers to your books over time. But most authors either do too much on too many platforms and burn out, or do too little and have no presence at all. The key is identifying the right platforms for your specific genre and audience, then building a sustainable rhythm that grows your readership without consuming your writing time.

I develop platform selection strategy, content planning, audience growth tactics, and analytics frameworks that show you what is actually working. I also handle content creation and management for authors who want professional representation without managing it themselves.

Platform Selection

Data-informed identification of which platforms your readers actually use and where your time investment will generate the highest return.

Content Planning

Content calendar development built around your publishing schedule, your genre's reader culture, and the specific types of content that drive engagement and book discovery.

Growth Strategy

Audience growth tactics tailored to your genre and platform, including community engagement, collaboration opportunities, and organic reach expansion.

Analytics Review

Regular performance review to identify what content is driving book discovery and reader growth versus what is generating engagement but no meaningful outcomes.

๐Ÿš€

Launch and Relaunch Strategy

Pre-Launch ยท Launch Week ยท Post-Launch ยท Momentum

The first 30 days after publication are critical for Amazon's algorithm. This is when the algorithm is actively learning what kind of readers want your book and whether it should recommend it to more people. Without strategic momentum-building during this window, even excellent books fade into algorithmic obscurity. The algorithm essentially decides that your book is not worth recommending because it did not see enough sustained interest.

I build research-driven launch plans based on market analysis, not generic checklists. Pre-launch positioning, review velocity coordination, launch week promotional stacking, and post-launch momentum strategy that sustains visibility beyond the initial spike. For books that have already launched without proper strategy, I develop relaunch approaches that treat the book as a new release entering the algorithm fresh.

Pre-Launch Positioning

Categories and keywords locked before release, competitive positioning established, pre-launch audience building tactics implemented.

Review Velocity Plan

ARC coordination, reviewer targeting, and timeline strategy that builds the review volume Amazon's algorithm needs to register genuine reader interest.

Launch Week Coordination

Promotional stacking strategy for maximum launch week impact, including promo site scheduling, social timing, and email sequence coordination.

Post-Launch Momentum

Sustained visibility strategy for weeks 2 through 8, when most launches fail. Measurable checkpoints and adjustment triggers built into the plan.

๐Ÿ“–

Series and Backlist Revival

Read-Through ยท Funnels ยท Backlist ยท Revenue

For series authors, read-through rate is the most important metric that most people ignore. A healthy read-through rate from Book 1 to Book 2 should be 50 to 70 percent or higher. If yours is below 30 percent, you are leaving enormous amounts of money on the table. A 10 percent improvement in read-through can effectively double your per-reader revenue.

For backlist titles, the book market changes constantly. New categories emerge. Reader communities grow and evolve. Keywords that nobody searched for three years ago might be trending today. A book that was poorly positioned at launch can find new life with updated metadata, refreshed categories, and reintroduction to communities that have grown since the original release.

Read-Through Analysis

Calculation of your actual read-through rates, identification of where readers are dropping off, and diagnosis of the structural causes behind each drop point.

Funnel Optimization

Back-matter audit and rebuilding with embedded purchase links, newsletter CTAs, and series continuation copy written in the voice of your world.

Backlist Repositioning

Category and keyword refresh for older titles, metadata updates, and a relaunch strategy that treats the book as a new release entering a market that has grown since publication.

Pricing Strategy

Permafree strategy, price pulsing, and series pricing optimization designed to maximize both read-through and total series revenue.

๐ŸŽฏ

Event Advertising and Promotional Campaigns

Event Ads ยท Campaigns ยท Targeting ยท Performance

Targeted promotional advertising for book launches, signing events, and online appearances. Reaching the right readers at the right moment, in the right place, with the right message. Most author advertising fails not because advertising does not work but because it is targeting the wrong people with the wrong message at the wrong time.

I build event and campaign advertising strategies that identify your natural audience precisely, develop creative direction that speaks to their specific desires, and coordinate multi-platform ad placement that reaches readers where they actually spend time. Every campaign includes performance benchmarks and tracking frameworks so you know exactly what is working.

Campaign Strategy

Full campaign development from audience identification to creative direction to placement strategy and budget allocation across relevant platforms.

Event Promotion

Targeted advertising for signing events, virtual launches, and online appearances reaching the specific geographic and genre audiences most likely to attend.

Multi-Platform Coordination

Coordinated ad placement across Facebook, Amazon Sponsored Products, BookBub, and other relevant platforms for maximum reach to your specific audience.

Performance Tracking

Clear benchmarks and reporting frameworks that show you exactly what is working, what is not, and where the budget is generating the highest return on investment.

This is not everything I offer.

The services above represent the most common components of my work. Every engagement is custom-built based on what your book actually needs. Some authors need all of these. Some need one or two. Some need things that are not on this list at all. The first step is always the same. Send me your book link and let me look at the data before we discuss anything else.

Packages range from $1,000 to $10,000 depending entirely on the scope of work your book requires. No fixed packages. No upselling. Just a strategy built around what your specific situation actually calls for.

Working with Eleanor transformed my book's visibility. Her expertise in Christian historical romance was evident from our very first conversation. She understood the nuances of this niche market better than anyone I had worked with before.

She identified exactly which categories and keywords would connect my book with readers seeking faith-based stories. More importantly, she helped me understand why these choices mattered, so I could apply the same thinking to future books. I finally feel like I understand how Amazon works. That understanding is invaluable. Not just for one book, but for every book I will ever publish.

The level of strategic detail was extraordinary. Eleanor approached my book with care, clarity, and a long-term vision rather than short-term tactics. If you are a faith-based author who feels invisible on Amazon, she is exactly who you need.

After

Split keyword strategy targeting both reader pools. Categories added for Family Sagas and Dual Timeline. Outreach to both historical and family drama book clubs.

4 book clubs in 6 weeks Goodreads want-to-read doubled First library speaking invite Foreign rights interest generated

The Pattern Behind These Results

The books were already good.

Quality was not the issue in any of these situations. Visibility was. The writing was there. The readers just could not find it.

The fixes were specific.

Not "do more marketing." Exact category changes, keyword adjustments, funnel corrections, and community connections.

The results were measurable.

BSR movement, review counts, read-through rates, revenue changes. No guesswork. Real numbers tracked against real baselines.

The changes were sustainable.

Not one-time spikes. Lasting improvements to infrastructure that continued producing results long after the active engagement ended.

Getting Started

Questions authors ask.

I look at your book's publicly available data before I reply. Current BSR and trajectory, category placement, review count and rating, pricing relative to your genre, and basic positioning signals. I spend 20 to 30 minutes actually analyzing your book before responding. My reply includes honest initial observations about what I see, both potential problems and potential opportunities. There is no pitch, no pressure, and no obligation.
No. Anyone who guarantees specific sales numbers or bestseller status is not being honest with you. The book market is complex and many factors are outside anyone's control. What I can guarantee is that I will identify exactly where your positioning is blocking discovery and give you a data-backed plan to fix it. Correct positioning dramatically improves the odds. But I will not pretend I can control algorithms or reader behavior.
Most services apply a template to every author. I start with your book's actual data. Before I make a single recommendation, I analyze your BSR, categories, keywords, reviews, also-boughts, and competitive landscape. Every strategy I build is specific to your book in your market. I also tell you what not to do, which most marketers will not. Half of effective marketing is filtering out the noise and not wasting resources on tactics that do not fit your situation.
It depends entirely on scope. Packages range from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on what your book actually needs. After the free assessment, I outline options based on your specific situation. No fixed packages. No pressure to invest more than your situation calls for. No hidden fees. I also offer payment plans for larger engagements because I never want finances to be the barrier that keeps an author from getting help they genuinely need.
Just three things. Your book title, your genre, and your Amazon link if the book is published. That is enough for me to do an initial assessment and tell you whether I can help. The more context you provide about what you have tried and what frustrates you, the more useful my assessment will be. But if you just want to send a link and see what I say, that works perfectly well too.
Category and keyword changes typically begin producing measurable effects within 2 to 4 weeks as Amazon's systems update. Some changes such as community outreach and book club placement take 4 to 8 weeks to fully materialize. I set realistic expectations for every specific situation and never overpromise timelines. What I can tell you is that properly implemented positioning changes produce durable results, not temporary spikes.
Yes. While much of my deep expertise is in commercial fiction genres, I also work with nonfiction authors in memoir, self-help, business, and prescriptive nonfiction. Discovery mechanics differ significantly from fiction and I apply category-specific strategy rather than generic advice. If you are a nonfiction author and unsure whether your situation fits my work, send me your book link and I will tell you honestly.
Ideally 3 to 6 months before publication. Category selection, keyword targeting, review velocity coordination, and pre-launch positioning all need to be in place well before the release date. The earlier you start, the more complete the foundation we can build. That said, I also work with authors who are launching soon or have already launched. There is always something that can be improved, regardless of where you are in the process.
Yes. Email support is included during implementation for all engagements. For larger projects, I also offer follow-up data reviews after the initial changes take effect to assess what moved, what needs refinement, and what the next strategic step should be. The work does not stop when the document is delivered. I stay engaged through the implementation period and the critical weeks that follow.
I will tell you directly and explain why. I only take on clients where I genuinely believe I can make a meaningful difference. If I look at your book and do not see a clear path to helping you, I will say so clearly rather than taking your money and delivering mediocre results. I would rather turn down an engagement than waste your investment. That honesty is the foundation of every relationship I build with authors.
Yes, though the scope of what can be changed varies depending on your publishing contract. Traditional authors often have less control over metadata, categories, and pricing than self-published authors. I will assess what levers are available to you given your specific agreement and build strategy around the ones that are actionable. If your contract significantly limits what can be done, I will tell you that upfront.
Absolutely. I encourage it. You can reach out directly to any of the authors featured in my testimonials section. Their contact information is listed publicly because I believe in complete transparency. Ask them anything you want. What changed. What did not. Whether the investment was worth it. I have nothing to hide about the results this work produces and I want you to feel completely confident before committing to anything.

Send me your book. I will tell you what I see.
